mommas and answered prayers

i have the greatest mother in the world.

no seriously, i know you probably think your mom is fabulous, and she probably is. but mine is better. she's so wonderful that i feel guilty at how wonderful she is because i don't deserve a mother so wonderful.

i had been stressing myself insane working 12-13 hr. days at my job trying to get things finalized for my maternity leave, plus running myself ragged at home organizing, cleaning, scrubbing, straightening, getting ready for baby's arrival. and i STILL had so much to do and it never looked like i was any closer to the goal.

i'd be in tears upset and praying that i don't go into labor before i get everything done. and this weekend, my mom came by and completely turned my apartment around. she did so much that it's unbelievable! she figured out ways to put things in places and make it as neat and functional as possible given the limited space - i could not have done it without her. she's amazing and she was such an answer to my prayers to God for help in any way to get through this.

she even took me grocery shopping and stocked me up so i won't have to do any shopping or much cooking in the next few weeks while i'm getting adjusted with the baby.

i'm so thankful for my mother's hard work, stellar organizational skills, and loving heart for her daughter that causes her to go out of her way to do things for me. i'm so blessed to have her in my life.

i hope i'll be that great a mommy to my own little girl....

....who is still not here yet :-)
