something weird is going on.
on Monday, i heard Christmas songs in two completely different locations, two completely different circumstances, at completely different times of the day.
the first was in the elevator in my office building early that afternoon. this guy was whistling "Deck the Halls." normally that might have annoyed me, but i was so amused by the weirdness of it that i couldn't help smiling out loud. his whistling was so....merry.
then later that same day, around 7pm, i get home and the ice cream truck stalking the kids in the neighborhood was playing an instrumental version of "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer." normally that ice cream truck, which comes through our complex daily, plays one of those creepy, clown-like, carnival songs.
that particular evening, Rudolph's signature tune was on rotation and blaring through the speaker.
i found that to be quite weird, especially having earlier experienced the "Deck the Halls" elevator whistler.
anyone else find this to be strange?
funny thing is, thinking about having a Christmas party in June sounds like a heck of a lot of fun :)
