ok, the first i'd heard of this was when A mentioned it in a comment yesterday. as life would have it, my sister forwarded this clip to me this morning.

now, clearly this little boy is dealing with so much fear, anger and hurt over the death of his sister (which i really hope they seriously addressed and perhaps allowed him to express in the rest of this episode/therapy). his behavior is clearly his way of acting out his grief. and the little boy is uncannily articulate and seemingly intelligent for a 10 yr. old.

but that being said:

LET MY KID EVEEEEEEEEERRRRRR TELL ME TO SHUT UP (while pointing his insolent little finger at me) AND THEN SLAP ME!!!!!!!!!

i would beat him to death, give him CPR and bring him back to life, explain to him why he's being killed, and then i'd take him out again.

all jokes aside, this is really sad. this kid is manipulative and will be a danger to society when he's an adult if his inner demons are not addressed, exorcised, perhaps drugged a little, and cast out for life. i can't believe this is this family's daily life - Lord, help them. this is the long version (8 mins), but it provides some relevant background info that may put things in perspective for those (like me) who haven't seen any of this before.

people can go to all the Dr. Phil's they want, but there are some things that only a relationship with the Lord will fix. this is one of them. psychiatry and psychology cannot heal the soul.
