truth hurts

excerpt taken from an article addressing Jeremiah Wright's, Sen. Obama's (former?) pastor, comments:

"In another sermon, delivered five days after the 9/11 attacks, Wright seems to imply that the United States had brought the terrorist violence on itself.

'We bombed Hiroshima, we bombed Nagasaki, and we nuked far more than the thousands in New York, and we never batted an eye,' Wright says. 'We have supported state terrorism against the Palestinians and black South Africans, and now we are indignant because the stuff we have done overseas is brought right back in our own front yards.' "

UM....it's true.

this country is infested with arrogance. the things that the US has done to other people in other countries is inhumane, atrocious, sinful, and barbaric. yet the minute someone "crosses the line" and wreaks havoc on US territory, everyone is up in arms and out for blood, seeking revenge on any and all who have taken part in it.

when does the bloody tug-of-war ever end? when is the murder for murder, war for war, you get us, we get you, type of foolishness ever over?

people get so offended and bent out of shape the minute someone criticizes the US. how dare anyone speak ill of Daddy America and imply that people's hatred towards this country is unfounded? preposterous!

but, live by the sword, die by the sword. sadly, it's the innocent inhabitants of the land (here and abroad) that are the first to die.
