girly topic alert: if you can't handle it, get out while you can.
so, keeping in line with my usual practice of telling you guys way too much stuff anyway, i just thought you should know that my menstrual cycles are almost perfectly in line with the cycles of the Moon. YAY!!
i'm fascinated by that! especially because the Moon is my absolute favorite of all of God's celestial sculptures (among those that i've seen with my own eyes). Saturn is my second favorite, but i've only seen pictures.
anyhoo, so tuesday was a full moon day (did you guys see it?? it was spectacular in the early evening!!), and lo and behold, i got my period that day! and that is not the first time that has happened. my cycle is relatively short compared to most women's. mine is usually every 24-27 days (it's never the same from month to month) - as opposed to many women's whose cycle is typically 28 or more. and the Moon's cycles are usually around 30 or so days. so this doesn't happen exactly on the full moon day every month.
but it has happened often - and i love it! it makes me feel like such a part of this Earth and the natural cycle of life.
God designed women so beautifully. I hope the men appreciate it (but they don't).

speaking of the Moon, one of the things i love so much about it is that no matter where i am, or where you are, we see the same Moon. we may see it at different times, from our different time zones and angles on the Earth. but it's ours to share. isn't that romantic? :-D
and here's a pretty nice answer to a question i've always wondered myself: why doesn't Earth's moon have a special name like all the other planets' moons?
