DC is too small for all this stupid

real life dialog that took place on Connecticut Ave yesterday:

stupid guy: "can i get your number?"

me: shook my head 'no' with a polite smile, as i was on my phone.

stupid guy: "i can't just get the number? it's for my collection."

me: polite smile turns into "what??" face; shook my head 'no' again.

stupid guy: "i don't even have to call. i just want to add your number to my list.
see...? i'm going to put you right.......there......" (gesturing to his phone/blackberry/or something)

me: walking away and continuing my phone conversation whilst stupid is still talking.


if these are the pickings in DC, i'm moving to London for sure. things aren't looking too bright on the homefront.
