what do you all think of people who were born male and are convinced they were "mentally female" trapped in the "wrong" body?
one of my favorite shows, America's Next Top Model, has a transgendered contestant this cycle. "Isis" adamantly states that though he was born totally physically male, he has always felt female mentally, for as long as he can remember (which means starting from childhood, i'm assuming).
now, i step back and try to think of this at all angles and wonder how in the world that can be. i've read numerous articles about the controversial subject of "gender-changing," and proponents of the procedure all have one claim in common: that "nature" screwed up. and, specifically speaking about male to female transformations, that "nature" mistakenly gave a woman male reproductive parts, and robbed her of all that makes a woman, a woman.
so who is "nature"? it is my understanding that God is the giver of life.
and i have a hard time believing that He gets stuff wrong. i have a hard time believing He would mess something up so badly, or perhaps think it humorous, to create a "woman" in all aspects, save for her body, which He decided to make male. i mean, i know God is creative and all, but come on...
so that leaves the unanswered question: what happened then?
i, right or wrong, always ultimately reach the conclusion that confusions of this magnitude are the work of satan and his demons. they thrive on confusion, on convincing others that God isn't perfect, isn't omnipotent, isn't Who He says He is. they live to torment, torture, confuse and deceive. so convincing, perhaps even a young boy, that he really is a girl despite how he was created, seems pretty demonic to me.
