again...really?

are people really up in arms about this new tween version of Dora the Explorer?

the new Dora is pictured to the right. outraged parents are saying she's too "sexy" and are protesting saying she's lost her wholesome image.

um.....what?

are we looking at the same character?? because with my two brown eyes, i see nothing even REMOTELY sexual about this new Dora. her face looks older, her hair is longer, she has on a top and some leggings with some flats.

it's not like they gave her breasts, daisy dukes and stilettos.

i don't understand people in this country. the whole point of the new version of the character was to give an alternative to older girls who can't really get into the current infantile version of Dora. so of course the doll/character is going to look slightly older - they've given her an age progression!

but to call her a "Dora the streetwalker. A sexed-up version of a children's icon. A poor example for kids..." ....come on now...really?

what, pray tell, is streetwalker-ish about this thing up here on the right side of this screen? i'll give it to people who can't stand the Bratz Dolls - those little heffas look like some straight up trash - overly made up, tight fitting jeans, showing their belly buttons and what not...and they are supposed to be for young girls? ok.

but this little cartoon girl up here????? i am so confused and lost.

i wish the overly spastic moms of america would really get a life. find something real to protest about. just because the girl got taller and some longer hair does not mean she's now the "tramp" version of the little Dora with the "Dumb and Dumber" bowl hair cut, a backback and t-shirt and shorts.

seriously.
