ugh

you know what i hate?

me: "Lisa isn't here today."

other person: "oh, she isn't?"

...and 'other person' stares at me, actually waiting for me to reply....

DIDN'T I JUST SAY SHE WASN'T?!?!

i want to be like, "yeah...she's really here. i was lying the first time. go to her office and see. oh the light's out and no one is in there? oh, well maybe when i said 'Lisa isn't here' the first time, i really DID mean it."

there are some days when my tolerance for humanoids is remarkably null and void. and i'm not even PMSing, so i have no excuse.
