fantasies

on saturday, i had the pleasure of attending a fabulous conference held by my church's singles' ministry. the guest speaker/preacher was a wonderful pastor of a church several of my friends belong to. i love hearing him speak.

he taught about the problem with having fantasies - fantasies about life, love, etc. and that the danger is that fantasies destroy our contentment.

consider the fantasy relationship or marriage you've always dreamed of. if that fantasy is never realized, are you contented? or do you continue to base your contentment on the hope that your fantasy will someday come to pass?

he also spoke about that special place in all of us that only God can fill.
