how come oranges are the only fruit named after their color?

that was kinda lazy, wasn't it?

i know Adam was given the privilege of naming stuff in Genesis, specifically the animals, but did he name the fruits too?

even so, he couldn't have named it "orange" because Adam didn't speak english.

i mean, we don't call bananas "yellow". we call them bananas.

so why didn't oranges get a name separate from their color?

i'm not high, i promise. i just wonder these things sometimes.
