pet peeve

if i may be a bit raw with you all for a minute - wanna know what one of my top 5 pet peeves are?

blatant attention seekers. people who insist on drawing attention to themselves in public, just because.

it's annoying. perhaps i should have compassion? maybe they have self-esteem issues and need to seek out the attention of others to make themselves feel important? probably.

but i haven't gotten there yet. for right now, i'm just annoyed. highly.

if you're a kind of individual who automatically effortlessly demands attention just by walking into a room, that's great - own that. it's a gift! it's beautiful and you probably already know you don't have to do anything to make people notice you - they just do.

but if you're one of those walking spectacles who purposely makes noise, dresses skankily provocatively, or otherwise behaves in ways that just scream "Look at me! PLEASE, look at me!" stop it.
