for someone special

have you ever felt like you were all alone in this world and no one understands how you feel?

do you ever wish and want for something more out of life, but can't ever seem to get it - and you have no idea what "it" is anyway?

have you ever cried all alone in your room, your heart heavy with sadness, and you can't quite articulate why?

are you grieving the loss of a loved one because you feel there's no hope to ever see them again?

is your heart broken, your spirit wounded, and you don't know how to climb out of that darkness?

have you ever tried to make your pain go away with "things" (money, careers, sex/relationships, drugs, alcohol, thrills), but afterwards find that the pain is still there?

are there addictions controlling you, and you keep saying "i'm going to stop, i have to stop" but can't ever seem to get there?

do you ever look at the state of the world (wars, poverty, disease, death, destruction, crime, economy) and feel afraid and in despair?

do you ever think about your own death and feel afraid because you don't know what's going to happen to you?

have you ever felt sad and ashamed because of something you've done and you feel like you can't tell anyone else?

do you ever feel like you're unloved, unlovable, unworthy, abandoned and alone?

have you ever heard someone talk about Jesus but felt like no "religion" could ever help you or you just weren't interested in it becoming part of your life?

i just wanted to tell you that the Lord laid it on my heart to tell you that despite how many "yeses" you answered above, HE loves and cares for you! and He's whispering to you right now.

In the Bible, Isaiah 44:24 says, "This is what the LORD says— your Redeemer, who formed you in the womb: I am the LORD, who has made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself."

The very same God who created this beautiful Earth, all the stars, the Moon and the Sun, also created you and knew you before you were born! that means He knew when you were going to be born, He knew your name, He molded you in your mother's womb. He wouldn't have gone through all that trouble if He didn't love you. :-) He loved you before anyone else did. And He will never ever stop loving you.

He knows every burden in your heart and is waiting for you to welcome Him in. He's everywhere you go, and He feels the pains you feel. He wants to lift the heaviness from your heart and to mend all the brokenness and sadness you feel.

God also wants to help you not feel so alone, not feel ashamed or guilty about things you've done, to no longer be controlled by addictions or anything in your life that is robbing you of peace. He wants to GIVE you peace. He wants to forgive you of all the sins you've ever done, no matter how big or bad the sins were, no matter how recently you've done them, and no matter how many times you did them.

The Bible teaches us in 1 John 1:7 " ... the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin." and in verse 9 that "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

Jesus Christ, God's Son, whom He sent to earth to die for you, for me, for every person on this earth, was crucified and died for all our sins. when He was buried, He took our sins away from us and paid the debt that we owe because of all we've done. in that regard, we have been "bought" by Jesus's blood, and all our debts are paid. He did that because He loves us and knows that there's no way we would ever be able to make up for all the wrong things we've done in our lives. so Jesus's death did all that we could never do because of our sins.

but the awesome thing about Jesus is that He didn't remain in death. three days after His death and burial, God raised Him back up to life, and He lives and reigns over all the earth at the right hand of God our Father, in Heaven. His resurrection conquered death, and through His resurrection, He has promised us everlasting life, if we put our faith in Him alone.

the Bible teaches us in Romans 10:9, "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

that means that if you put your faith in Jesus Christ and really believe in your heart that He is God's Son who died for your sins, was buried, and rose again, and confess these things with your mouth, you will be saved.

salvation is an awesome gift that we don't earn - He extends it to all of us, but it's up to us to accept it. God is powerful and mighty, but He will never force us to accept His Son. it must be a choice you make on your own. but the great thing about it all, is that once you make that choice and truly believe in His Son Jesus, that He promises you belong to Him and will live with Him for eternity. when you die, as we all will some day, you will get to live in Paradise with the Lord. and if you're still alive when Jesus returns, you will be taken up with Him, protected and safe forever. in the Gospel of John, Jesus said "And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am." and there's no better place in the universe than to be where Jesus is :-)

Jesus can heal all the pain in your life, He can forgive all the sins you've ever done. you can talk to Jesus in your room, in your car, on a bus, walking down the street, where ever you are, He is there. you can tell Him your deepest secrets as your best friend, and you can put your trust in Him to help. you can confess all of your sins, shortcomings, flaws and faults to Him and He will not only forgive you, but He will cleanse you. Psalms 103:11-12 says, "For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His love for those who fear Him; as far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. "

you don't need to confess your sins to a priest - Jesus is the only one who can absolve you of sin. you don't need to be afraid that your sins are too big and you can't tell the Lord - He already knows what you've done. He's just waiting for you to confess them to Him so that He can heal you from the wounds your sins have left behind. then He can give you the power to sin no more.

The great news about that is that when we confess our sins to God, He forgives them and then wipes our slate clean. so that when He looks at you, He doesn't see the sins in you that He has just forgiven - He sees you as a whole new, pure creature standing before Him. ONLY our God can love like that!

He will be with you and has promised in His word to never leave nor forsake you. so no matter what you go through in life, He will be right there to guide you and love you through it. He'll be there in those lonely nights when you have no one else. He'll comfort you in your sadness and will give you peace in turmoil. He can heal your body and remove all addictions from your life. His Holy Spirit will take residence in your heart and will give you the power over all sins, addictions, and anything else that once controlled how you thought and lived.

your life will never be the same again.

a lot of people think following Christ is about religion. but it's not about religion, it's about a relationship. a relationship with God our Father, through Jesus Christ. religion is about denominations, rituals, traditions, practices, but all those things don't connect you to God.

what God wants us to have is not religion, but a relationship with Him - a living, vibrant, growing, trusting relationship with Him. and the only way to do that is by accepting Jesus Christ, His Son. Jesus said "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. " (John 14:6). The only way to have that relationship with God is through accepting Jesus Christ into your heart and into your life. once you've accepted Jesus, God will turn His ear to you, will hear and answer your prayers and will begin to show you more and more of Who He is! Jesus said in that same chapter of John, "Whoever has My commands and obeys them, he is the one who loves Me. He who loves me will be loved by My Father, and I too will love him and show myself to him."

When you put your faith and trust in Jesus and let Him guide you and everything that you do, He will begin to change your heart, your way of thinking, your way of life, and He will show you Himself, things you've never seen or felt before. you won't have to worry about the evils all around us in this world, because He has promised to never leave our sides. and He has promised that all things of this world will pass away eventually.

He doesn't want you to live in despair, grief and fear. Jesus said in John 10:10-11 "I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth His life for the sheep. "

an abundant life can only truly come from having a relationship with Jesus Christ. you ever wonder why so many people have lives full of riches, cars, big houses, great careers, friends, lovers, etc. and are still miserable, and still chase after more and more "things" and thrills?

it's because no earthly thing can satisfy the heart. they may give momentary pleasures, but after the high wears off, the original emptiness remains. but Jesus can fill that empty space with His love, peace, and assurance that you are His, and He is yours. He did it for me. He did it for so many others before me. and He can do it for you too, if you let Him. it doesn't mean that your life will never have painful moments ever again. believe me, i have many moments of anguish, and i still cry many tears. but the beauty of having Christ in my heart and in my life is that He gives me peace during my storms. He wipes my tears away and fills my heart with joy even in the midst of sadness. and when i remember His promise to never leave nor forsake me, i don't feel so alone anymore. He will comfort you in your darkest hour and will lift you up during your trials - if you let Him in.

if you have read through all of this, GOD BLESS YOU (this is long!!! LOL). but also, if you've read through all of this, i believe that God, in all His sovereignty, has ordained this moment in time for you to come to know His Son Jesus personally. the Word of God says, "Today if ye will hear his voice, Harden not your heart..." (Psalms 95). if you are reading this, i believe it is in the perfect will of God for you to be doing so, and that He is using these words to speak to your heart. i am praying for you who read this, that the Lord will show Himself to you like never before, and that the eyes of your heart be opened to see Him. if you will, please pray this prayer and invite the Lord Jesus into your life:
Lord, this is all new to me and i'm feeling doubts, i have questions, and i have concerns. But Lord, i know that i want a better life, i want all of the mistakes i've made to be washed away, i want to have peace. so i'm choosing to believe that Jesus died for me and my sins. i'm choosing to accept His gift of salvation, grace and mercy. i believe that You sent Jesus to earth to die for me, and that after He was crucified, He was buried and You raised Him from the dead three days later. i confess this with my mouth and believe it in my heart, and i now know that i am saved. I confess my sins to You Lord, and ask that You please forgive me and wash me clean. I want to live with You, and i want You to live in me. Please come into my heart and begin to show me who You are. on this day, i give my heart and my life to You. Thank You Lord for saving me from myself and from my sins, and thank You for every promise that You have made to me. In the name of Your Son Jesus i pray, Amen.

if you have prayed that prayer and really truly believe in your heart every single word you're saying, you are saved. Jesus is now your Lord, and you no longer belong to this world or to Satan. your beautiful journey is just beginning. as you continue to grow in the Lord, He will speak to you, teach you more about Him, lead you to other believers and a church family who will help you develop in your walk with Him, and He will begin to teach you His Word. you will begin to see your old self leave more and more, and you will see your new self in Christ growing more and more.

welcome, my brother or sister in Christ!

:-) we love you. and our arms are extended to you. may the Lord bless you and keep you.

we praise God for you! and i am praying for you, wherever you are. :-)
